That looks great, nice bike:thumbsup:
I sold my XS250 just a month or so ago at Kempton, the buyer is going to use it for commuting around the Portsmouth area. I told him about this site, but as I haven't logged on since :)rolleyes:) I don't know if he joined.
Love the exhaust, I've got a coupla Kawa GPX250's, one I'm planning on customising, I fancied the rear exit look too ........ :D

Finally got my pics and videos on my laptop. Ended up buying a multicard reader from poundland for my micro SD card, phone's gone back to three to be fixed.
Aaaaaaanyway i've now got my video of the bike running on youtube, its nothing amazing but give's you an idea of the sound the exhausts make its alot louder than in the clip. :D
More vids and pics to come when i've built some more

Bout time for an update i feel, been too busy what with the new child, having no spare cash etc to do much work but have started doing some more work again.

The electrics are DONE! Woohoo at last. I hated that job, elecs are not my thing, got everything mounted and working, the digital clocks look damn cool.

Found out why she didn't like to run very well the carbs were un donated back to me by a mate from where i used to teach motorcycle mechanic's as i donated them to the college after i'd rebuilt them, they had since been "studented" and they've sheared a pilot off in one side so it wouldn't tick over.
Luckily had two other sets to hand and stole half of one and made a lovely pair and she ticks over nicely now.

Exhaust is complete and secure and not blowing just needs the welds cleaning up when i do the strip down.

Had to ditch the XT125 front reservoir as it was just to gutless and had soooo much flex when you squeezed the brake, fitted the original XS item and it looks quite retro cool and has a nice solid bite to it.

Waiting for my number plate board parts to turn up to make that and fit the light also waiting for the offset front sprocket from a guy i found in the UK that does them for RD's.

I've got some piccy's to follow so bear with me.

Ahhhhhhhh!

Why is it you can never remember where that "safe" place is where you put that part.

I can't find the small cap that the clutch cable goes into on top of the front sprocket cover.

S@*t

So annoying

happends all the time to me, then i find THAT JAR with 2 in! :wtf:

A few more pics as promised.

We are nearly there now, only two things left to make it complete, fitting of a chain and finish making the seat.

The seat was made out a old damaged XS seat that i had and i've made the base out of old back from a tumble drier, but it it is still yet to be finished i need to make the sides and fit the spike strips for the material. The foam i still have to shape some more to suit what feels most comfortable, but this gives a good impression of the future outcome of the bike.

Ditched the idea of a BMW style numberplate fittment and made a bracket out of some old tent pegs i found in the garage, also made a small plate for the number plate light to be attached. I'm quite pleased with the outcome.

This is the clocks and controls finished and fitted with the original XS front brake reservoir which i think looks quite retro cool with the modern Aprilia top yoke :D

I know you gave up on the number plate but I still think it would have looked different with it! Ah well somewhere to hang your L plates I suppose :p
