hi guys, hope you can help.. i can get my bike to idle.. however after a few minutes it will die unless you keep the revs up... main problem is when you rev it hard it sticks and idles very high.... it only just started doing this. the cable is fine and the return linkage for the cable is returning fine aswell... the boots the mount the carbs has splits in them but i dont think they go all the way through... could this effect it? what effect would split boots have on it? and im wwondering why when reved it sticks at a high idle and wont come back down unless i turn the bike off.. any help greatly appreciated!! thanks guys as im stuck!

You most likely have a air leak in it somewhere and or a lean condition. Get some new boots for the carbs and clean them really good. Also when you have them apart check to see if there are any holes in the diaphragms. Plus are you using stock air filters?
