What are the options for a small speedo for the xs400. Just picked up a 1980 that's been bobbed and I would like a speedo for it.

Thanks
James

Ya you should be fine. Just try to use as little as possible? The weight won't be enough to really mess anything up.. chances are most people's wheels have more dirt weight on them than the magnets will weigh.

I've been using a small schwinn unit on mine, works great and is super accurate. The magnet is mounted to the disc instead. It has to be within like 2mm to the sending unit so the disc is the best option. On the stock 400 fork I ziptied the sending unit to the caliper carrier/bracket and it was a good fit. On the gixxer forks I made up a tiny aluminum bracket to hold the unit

for a $1.29 with free shippin', I'm tempted to "upgrade" myself:D

smaller or bigger. Nice thing about them is you set them up to whatever size wheel you run. Measure the length of one full revolution of the wheel, do some math (the formula is included with the instructions) and input the correct calibration into the unit. Done in less than 5 min and very accurate.
