lets see what your working with!

My set up is also in the driveway, but I'm trying to figure out a way to clear the garage out of junk (and spiders). Also doing research on how to properly run electricity out there so I can run a computer, lights, and a space heater for the cold winter nights. Can anyone offer suggestions to either the pest or power issue?

Assuming you have the line capacity and available space in your main circuit breaker box, I would run a 220 line to a subpanel in the garage. The wire gauge needed depends on the amperage desired/circuit breaker you use on the main panel and the distance from the main panel to your subpanel. Remember that the common and ground must remain independent at the subpanel even though they are tied together at the main panel.

Sounds like maybe you have an old detached garage with no light switch at all?
I was able to get a single 15 amp circuit out to a cottage garage by splicing into a wall plug and trenching and laying some bury-able outdoor wire (14 gauge) out to it (in pvc conduit). Then I installed a duplex receptacle and lights. If the total distance from the panel is over (I think) 50' use #12 gauge.
Worked great for lights bright enough to work and use small power tools. It was a summer place so never needed to try a space heater - but 15 amps would run a small one along with lights - at least until you needed to use a big power tool.

in the UK there are tight regs with electricity from length of cable to spurs off a socket.

I would take a large armored cable from the mains tails to an RCD box in the garage. take as much power as you like then.

My setup is 10-20 storage building thats being shared eith 4wd blazer,an extra engine and some other junk.Even with the Jimmy all the way over to one side I have little to no room.:mad:3 good things I have light and electricity and the Jimmy shouldnt be in it for the whole winter.

Lou, I was cleaning it out and degreasing the floor Halloween day when I found the huge chains, it just seemed to suggest itself. With all the stuff out it was easy to light it and put up the chains and tint the lights red with a red survival shovel. (camping size, belongs to roommate) add creepy music played on the computer and you have a Haunted Garage! "Welcome to the haunted Garage! WHERE MOTORCYCLES COME BACK FROM THE DEAD!"
