A careless 300 year old man totaled my beloved 1978 SOHC XS400. I found a good rolling chassis on craigslist but its a 1981. Will a 1978 motor mount in that frame easily,?

Precisely, which is why I haven't altered the frame yet. Many a beer have been consumed staring and plotting haha :) I was looking at the seat a few minutes ago. Easy enough to remove that hump and put in a flat piece of pan in its place.

I thought about trying to slim this seat down further but in the back there is only an inch of foam between the vinyl and the pan, it has a raised hump underneath to accompdate the rear fender and toolkit making going lower profile in rear impossible without grinding off the crossmemeber where...
