Auto Electrician who can rewire stator in Brisbane?

Rewire. The one guy they all seem to use is Dave Turner from Acacia Ridge but he has not picked up his phone for over a week. Motorcycle stator rewiring seems to be a dying art?

I bought a replacement solenoid off ebay and it came with no instructions or markings as to what goes to starter etc. The two larger posts with nuts have no markings?? which is the M or P? Is there a preference ?? I read online it does not matter?? Surely not?? The wires on the new solenoid do...

After another week of never being sure if the bike would start, I finally replaced the rectifier with a NOS one that cost around $140 US with postage and finally seem to be starting first go.

No Key!?!? What do i do?

I had my key redone in Australia at a locksmith at Sumner Park Qld for around $35..... as long as I knew the number that was written in the cylinder where the key goes. I had one company want to charge me $250 to do it including a call out charge so it pays to ring around.

After 2 months of slowly dying.... my bike wont start. No spark

Just replaced the condenser and that has seemed to help with the recharge problem. The new condenser had different connections to the old condenser. As you can see in image provided. Had to reuse old plastic coupler set/ wire holder as I could not get a new one which matched the old coupler...

No electricity running to headlight thru fuse box now what??

Interesting you wrote that about the 5000rpm. Most of my riding is less than 3 suburbs... home to work... occasionally nice cruise up Mt Cootha or Mt Nebo.... so that definately could be a factor .... bike is not starting at moment so its something more serious than a battery.... I just...

I removed and cleaned starter... now need replacement O-rings??

I have finally bit the bullet and removed the starter and the carbs. The new battery always died, and the bike was getting steadily harder to start. The rectifier tested ok so I thought what a good way to kill a few hours before work and check out the starter. The starter was filthy inside and...
