Yeah, it looks like a 1982-ish Seca 400. Very different from the XS400's it replaced. Some engine components are similar, but the rest of the bike is completely different. My advice would be to make sure it has compression, clean the carbs, clean and gap the plugs, you can always put in new ones...

So I picked up another project bike, it's an XS, but an 1100, not a 400, 1979 XS1100 Special. Completely original, bought from the original owner with 23,000 kilometers on it, that's just over 14,000 miles for those south of the border, and paid $400 for it, so I'm quite happy with my purchase...
