Anyone if there are any other years of wiring harnesses that are compatible with the 1981 XS400 Special II? I'm not seeing any 81's for sale on ebay at the moment and I'd love to get into this project.

Stoked too see how this turns out. I plan on doing something very similar with my 81 Special II due to hand problems from too many (pedal)bike crashes. I have my Buell set up with clubmans and a forward stance and my wrists kill after about 100mi or so. How much did you drop on the K70s...
