    Rocker Cover Bolts

Its been a while... but I'm back b**tches. Any of you smarty pants think they can match the bolts to the holes? I thought I saw this thread before but I'm too lazy to keep looking. Maybe once it is labeled it could be moved to the permanent maintenance section. Thanks. You guys rock.

Bike idles fine but will not rev

Was it really 2 quarts? Thats all the oil that SHOULD be in the bike. Not normal. Like hough said in the other thread, a fair amount is normal especially if the bike is on the side stand. Did the oil that came out smell like gasoline?

Bike idles fine but will not rev

I'm in to this thread because I think you are close AND you are from Jersey:) Can you post pics. I'd like to see good clear pics of this electronic ignition. Is it even adjustable? Does it rotate around the cam lobe so you can make the cylinders fire earlier or later? I have a video...

Reviving a dead battery that wont charge

I was working on the bike in the driveway yesterday. I was using the electric start a lot. I know I drained the battery down quite a bit. I knew in the back of my head I needed to put the battery on the charger when I was done. Instead, like a noob, I put the bike away and left the key in...

    '77 XS360 trouble

Haven't checked in here in a while but I love the 360 questions. I swapped engines on my 360 and the replacement engine I bought did not have a starter. I was able to swap the starter in with only minor headaches. The hardest part was removing the flywheel to install that crankshaft...

    Lifting an xs400

Why do people always take the centerstand off? At least have the courtesy to keep it for the next owner. My current bike didnt have one either. After a week of fiddling with some two by fours and a car jack I gave up. It wound up being one of the first OF MANY nickle and dime things I...

    1978 XS400-2E Intro and Build

I think a video on setting the timing is in order. I'm going to make one today. Keep an eye out. I'll start a thread with a you tube link later. Don't worry man. Setting the timing is something you would have had to do no matter what. You are not wasting your time here. Be careful with...
