Yes, the constant sparking is due to grounding issues in that circular timing plate where you adjust the points. You'll need to clean all of that up, possibly replace the plate/points/gaps parts and see if you can isolate the grounding issues

If that isn't your tappet adjusters hitting the tops of the caps that hold them in, then I'd look into the tightening of your timing chain adjustment. If it's off, you'll have an asynchronous ignition issue, and yes, heat buildup, and blueing, on the one side that's not letting enough exhaust...

Seems to me you have an issue involving vibration. Today one of my four fuses popped out of the fuse tray, on one end, and after being really frustrated, found the fuse was simply OUT of it's "socket" at one end. Nothing more complicated than that. Then of course...it broke down later...but...

please clean the small holes to the idle jets as they rise up from the carb throats in front of the butterflies with solvent and a small guitar string. That's where they clog. Then check back in. Then balance the carbs.

You're probably shorting out due to a bad wire in the loom or a bad connection in the headlight bucket. When you say you have an aftermarket headlight, do you mean a different than suggested wattage?? LED? Please list the details of what you have running so we can help you. Please takes pics...
