Should I buy this XS? No electrical..

That would depend on what the previous owner did the the original harness. If everything is chopped you might be better off building a new harness from scratch. But how that turns out also depends on your electrical know how... IMHO I would skip on the bike unless you have experience with...

    rear caliper

If you've already removed the bolts there is a screw that is only accessible from the other side of the bike, try that. And for replacement front master cylinder this is what I used but there are cheaper ones. Just match the banjo bolt size...

    Starter run by it self

Start with the kill switch assembly and we'll go from there. Also, does it sound like your starter motor is winding when the bike turns on by itself? If it sounds like its just spinning, then thats a sign that the starter button may be jammed in the on start position or one of the contacts is...

    Starter run by it self

The harness is the main cable that all the electrical components are plugged into. Hmm I guess if you are new, you wont be able to tell if its been modified or not.

    Starter run by it self

So I'm trying to decipher what you are saying exactly. -You put the key into the ignition and turn it on. -you flip the kill switch to run -your bikes starts up without you pressing the electric starter? Did i get that right? Try to take apart your kill switch assembly and see if there is...

    Newbie in need!!!

You should check out the manual of your year bike found as a stick on the garage forum. In there will be a wiring diagram that might help you. Those letters could mean anything because they are aftermarket. Did the ignition come with any instructions? I would email TCbros and ask them about that.

    Stumbled on these batteries

I think there are a few on here that run those batteries. If I remember correctly though, I think someone mentioned that these batteries will fry if your charging system is not working correctly and overcharges them. I dont remember if I read this here or at another forum. Do a search to make sure.

    Top Carb Screws Stripped

The diaphragms, soap and water should be fine. Any harsh chemicals will melt them I think. Hold them up againt the light and see if there are any cracks/holes that you can see. If so replace them.

    Top Carb Screws Stripped

Make sure you spray pb blaster and soak those screws overnight. Slot the top of the screws and use the biggest and longest flathead you can find to break the screws free. As for your diaphragms, dont worry you can order new ones here. THese work great! http://jbmindustries.com/Yamaha650.html

    Crazy helmet idea or not.

I think more than anything, everyone is genuinely concerned. If anything, I doubt anyone wants a newbie to come onto this forum and do such a thing to their helmet and think that it is ok. Its just setting a bad example; if people here didnt step up and warn of the consequences of your actions...

How have you guys relocated the battery?

I think if its a sealed battery(pictured above in Drewpys post) it could be laid down but a regular battery could have problems with the battery fluid leaking out if laid side ways?

    New Master cylinder

Hey Ken56, how much smaller is the new Master cylinder compared to the old one? I've been looking for something more compact to go with my drag bars. You dont happen to have a pic of both side by side for comparison do you?

    Solved >>>starter problem<<<

I would try just the cover first. You might find the gear just sitting there. When I removed my estart motor the same thing happened to me and I opened up the cover and it was right there along with the chain. I dont think there is enough room for it to fall freely behind the actual alternator...

    Solved >>>starter problem<<<

take off the alternator cover to get access to it. Its easier than trying to fish out the gear through the little hole. Also gives you a chance to align the chain.
