I really like my Mac 2 into one because it's lighter than the factory set up I was using before but I had no choice because the originals were destroyed it a wreck. Don't get the wrong idea, I'm well satisfied with the Mac set up just would like it a little quiter.

Lots of things can cause the problem you have. If yours has points make sure they are both set correcty. Make sure the timing is correct and the advance works. After you make sure all that is correct, tuned carbs are often too lean.

You may be right but the whole unit is self contained and about the size of a magic marker. The battery pack is separate with two short wires. It uses 2 AAA batteries and I do have a few rechargeable ones. I may as well give it a try! Thanks
