Hi there can I swap a early 80s dohc into my 79sohc how hard is that to do

does anyone know if using smaller that stock signal lights will activate the stock thermal signal flasher? Mine seems funky with standard rear signals and small bullet size ones on the front.

the bikes charging good last time i checked not 14 but somewhere close. The lights are not flashing either. as for ground should i just creat a new ground somewhere?

hey Forest, would you be so kind as to draw us up a diagram of what you did to make your flashers work, i know that you have it written here but a diagram would be truly superb. thx

so i have hooked everything back up to stock and found that there seems to be a grounding issue with the lights as the lights work (not blinking though) but only if i ground it out on the bike.

Actually thats just what im doing also but the brake light and signals use only one ground round for all three

Im not planning to use the stock signals; only the signals built in to the tail light. Problem is that there is o.ly a single ground wire coming from the whole aparatis.

thanks tobie. another question, im guessing that all of the signal light components need to be plugged in in order for any of them to work; because they are all on a common ground? i think this, because none of them are hooked up and when i plug a new one in, it does not respond. and i do know...

well, the fuse box has been replaced. the signals and the brake light worked with the exception of one signal the was missing all together, when i took off all the fender assembly all i really did was unplug all the stock wiring havent cut anything so i tbink it all works except the headlight...
