Hello for the UK
New to the group as i've bought this project which has been littered with electrical faults which i've now sorted (mostly) .
The bike in question is an 81 SE , imported from the states to UK circa 2019.
Its been modified to a certain degree as a "Scrambler". albeit a lot more work to do to get it to a point i'm happy with.
Plan is to get it serviceable / rideable. Use it through the summer , strip and completely rebuild in the winter with some ideas of my own.
Ok , so the previous owner has fitted an 18" rear wheel which he says has come from as XS model of some description?? all well and good but i need to service / overhaul the brakes.
I cant find for the life of me what its from ?? all 18" Mag rear wheels that i've researched are disc , this is a drum ??
Wheel stamped "Yamaha" and the mag style for the year ??
Any ideas or imput would be much appreciated.
I also want to get shot of the "Nobblies" and fit some good road tyres as large as poss ?? 120 90 x 18 ?? rear .
