Hello Fellow Gearheads,
I recently picked up this 78 XS400 for a smoking cost of just 400 bucks, with only 3548 miles with a clean title. That's the good. A truly original unmolested example. Great start for a project. 140-145 compression both cylinders and they look clean.
The Bad: Brakes all around need a complete rebuild and I cannot for the life of me find an available kit to rebuild the rear brake master cylinder. I've tried CSMNL, Z1, Yambits, Ebay, Amazon, etc.
Anybody out there have a secret source they'd care to share? The lip of the piston in the master broke on disassembly. That part seems to be unobtainium.
