75 xs500 question

Looking for xs500 voltage regulator and the regulator under the battery. Or dose anyone no if I can buy something that eliminates those to just one box. Its for a 75 xs500 thanks

If you know that the xs500 uses the same ground regulated system, you can use a Transpo C8313 from a late 70's, early 80's Dodge pickup with a slant six (well, any of the regulators are the same, but I went for this Transpo model because it has an adjustment pot on the bottom to tweak the voltage). Looking at the parts on Partzilla, it seems like it's the same, just the first three part numbers are different, the rest of the part number is the same as the 1979 XS400. This is what I used when my regulator died. Pick up the pigtail connector with it and it's an easy three wire to three wire connection. The ground will go to the regulator body. Yep. I lucked out on mine and didn't need to adjust it as it was preset to 14.2 volts, though above 7000 rpm I do see 14.4-14.5. But then Dodge engines never see those types of rpms!
