A new build of (somewhat) EPIC proportions! My '78 XS

Actually haven't done anything yet but I do have a photo! Here is the photo

You can clearly see that I've tried to get it out and you all will tear me a new one...

Thanks Dave for the advice. It's past trying to work it out with wax or a welded nut. I'll just have to go get me a left hand bit and drill it out... verrrrry carefully. Ah, stupid mistakes to learn from I guess

Well I've worked at it and now the screw is below the lip of the hole. It makes me nervous to think of welding down into the hole. I'm guessing, but I don't think that there could be much force on that fixture so CouLd I just ream out the hole and tap it a half size larger?

Thanks
Clayton

Would a MIG do the same thing?

Also the gf has been making fun of my handle... probably gonna change it as I didn't really think about what it looks like. Stupid me...:banghead:

CONTEST TIME?
We could all submit suggestions for VAG-tastic's new handle and then have a vote - like picking a T-shirt design. What could possibly go wrong?

Here's my entry: "VAG-abond"

I  VAG (Volkswagon Auto Group) ;) :hump: Soo many icons, do I only get one entry? Will the BB code work in the Name side?
Hmm. Possibly you are right - could be slightly too many icons.
But I would say "enter as often as you want". I've posted photos that don't even meet the entry criteria on the Photo games threads and so far the administrator has been very lenient.
"VAG-rant" ?

Should totally make a contest out of it... but I really like vagabond... I think so variant on vagabond like
FoundVagabond
or
TheRandomVagabond
or
AccidentalVagabond

Well... gonna change the handle to Lone Vagabond. Thanks for all of the great suggestions guys. haha.

Also built a motor workstand and will be picking up some more steel for the lift table as well as begin working on the frame.

I'll have some pictures later today for you all!
