Hey guys. I went to Bike night at a local hang out. not sure why because i never go to such things, but my neighbor told me about it. Most all the bikes there were harleys, a few gold wings, but definitly nothing like my old xs. a bunch of guys were egging me on to do a burn out. I wasnt going to try that but i was revving it up and making noise and being stupid i guess. At one point i had noticed i was in the 9 to 10 thousand range on the tach. 9000 is redline zone. It was only for a second, but it was enough to pull me back to reality and ask myself what the hell i was doing at bike night with a bunch of harley dudes who wanted to see me blow up my japanese bike. Anyway my question would be can these motors handle a little redline rev if its only for a second or 2. It seemed to drive normal going home.

Dont worry about the RPM, my 250, with Oil cooler and a liitle bit optimizing has been Running several Times the 165 Kilometer from Hamburg to Hannover with permanent 11800 RPM in the 5 gear at 135 KM/H, good Oil and cooling is needed
