Newbie here — I’m still getting my confidence back after my first ride ended in an accident, but it didn’t take away how much I love bikes. I’ve got an ’81 SR185, and I really want to learn more about it and how to work on it myself. My boyfriend has an SR too, plus an XS400, and if you’ve got an XS400, I’d honestly love to hear anything you know about them. I’m trying to take things slow, learn at my own pace, and connect with other ladies who are figuring things out just like me.

I will reply in place of my wife. Her main bike is a vstar 1100. We recently also got a 1980 xs 400. She doesn't like to actually do much repair work on the bikes but does ride. You can learn anything here that you need to know to do all of the maintenance and repairs on the bike. You can make your boyfriend proud or envious, your choice. Welcome
