All the lights work. Sometimes it blinks a few times. But then the lights hang. It's not the fuse. It's not the bulbs. Is it the relay? And where is that relay?

This is a XS400j 83 Maxim.

Here's a quick video:

Mine blink but sometimes they don’t auto cancel. Not sure what that is. The manual says the bike must be moving for the auto cancel to work. I’m not sure how that works (is it a relay???). Since the bike must be moving I think there’s some sort of electronic system. I going to search for a relay, I’ll post if I find something.

Thanks for the reply. There are several threads on blinker relays here. I've looked through them. Think I'm going to have to pull the gas tank off to get to it. But first I'll start the bike and test the signals with it running. But I need to get gas first. So next time I'm at the station.

Have you tried with the engine running? The relay is quite sensitive to the amount of voltage it receives. The relay is in front of the battery under the fuel tank. As for the auto-cancel module (if it's giving you problems), I simply removed it.
