Custom Seat "Adventure" (Like WM Seat)

Wow, nearly a year ago i started this project!

For everyone that was interested in this when i began, here is the bike in its current form!

I have made a seat pan out of some thick steel and after a lot of debate i have decided to get it done professionally.

Really excited about how this is turning out!

I'll update this when the seat comes back!

that's the skill, knowing when to give it the pros who have the machinery to make a good job, or bodge it and have an OK job

I'm late to the party but I work in a steel shop. One issue I have is using so much heat will anneal the steel and make it much softer. Easier to bend but also less structurally sound. The expense of a bender is out of reach for all but the most financially solvent. There are also many small job shops itching for anything to put their machines to work. Most times for a small cost and will not reduce the structural integrity of the steel. I know we're talking about a seat loop that isn't as much a structural suspension member. I'm just concerned that we don't weaken the frames too much.

Wow! Nearly 10 years since this project was started. Here is what the bike ended up looking like!
