Are different model/year SOHC camshafts interchangeable?
I have a 1981 XS400H SOHC 4R5
Bought a new camshaft online and seems to fit fine in the bike, and with the sprocket, but it is slightly different (possibly 4R4, or maybe 4A2, as it only said it was a 1981 xs400 camshaft)
Main difference seems to be the middle plate where the sprocket goes is a different shape (a little thicker), and the holes for the sprocket bolts are not centered, but slightly off.
