I took the cdi box apart and it seems theres a small plastic gasket around a shaft that goes into the cdi box. Any help with what the gasket is called?

no idea what your talking about, there's no shaft in a cdi box
Any pics?

Are you talking about the rotor cover? The CDI has only wires going into and out of it.Maybe a picture or a better description would be better. lha
