Has anyone used these brake lines from Mikes XS? I bought them and cannot get the compression nut to slide onto the line. The outside diameter of the line measures apprx .022 larger than the inside of the nut. I've emailed Mikes XS twice on my problem but have not heard back yet.
Edit: I did receive a reply from Mikes, apparently it was stuck in my spam folder. Apologies to Mikes XS. Instructions are attached in the next post.

Update:
I did not mention that I am using the black coated lines. What I finally did was scrape the coating off enough so that the compression nut could slide on. Once the fitting is tightened it exposes about 3/8" of bare steel braided line. I used heat shrink tubing to cover up the bare steel braids. So far it is working fine with no leaks.
I have no idea if this is the correct way of doing it and if you follow my action, it is at your own risk. For now, I only use the bike for putting around the neighborhood and occasionally on back roads.

It appears I did it the correct way, Yay!
