Misaligned front forks

I have a 1981 xs that I got for free a few months ago (abandoned on a friends property) and I’ve been making steady progress ever since. But one thing has remained constant, the front forks are misaligned with the wheel pointing right while the forks are straight. I’ve tried loose moth and retightening the triple tree but it stays crooked. At this point I’m assuming something is bent. But then again maybe I’m just missing something or doing it wrong. Any suggestions are appreciated.

What makes you sure the forks are straight?

Also. It's totally possible to have bent triple trees.
