I put some ammo boxes on my sportster when I had it. One thing, is think about putting some foam tape or something soft under the handle. It will rattle really loud and you might thinking something is wrong with the rear axle/wheel/brakes... happened to me.

BTW Looks good.

This looks all well and good, but what are you ping to mount? Browning m1919? And where are you going to mount it? No space for gunner, so I assume you will be riding and firing, in which case you may need to move the ammo box near the choke on the left side. Gotta make sure the belt feeds freely to avoid a jam. ;)

powdercooat on the block and carbs

Oh boy that opens up a can of worms. There is a lot of information that says don't powder coat your cylinders. It cages the heat and greatly reduces heat dissipation leading to seizure.
Others will argue this, so it is your call, but guys I respect say don't do it. Do a google search but read the warning from the air cooled RD guys who have real experience on this.

Looks awesome. I can mount a gun on my bike, but it can't be loaded. I'll probably still get stopped to make sure it isn't loaded. Great riding weather payed for by restrictive firearms laws.

That's the plan is to have the mag loaded but the chamber empty and breach opened mainly for show but will be in a fork mounted gun case :yikes:
