Hi I am currently trying to figure out if I can eliminate my locking gas cap with a no locking cap on a 1980 Yahama sx400 special. I lost the keys for the original. Ordered a new locking cap and it was too short to reach the latch. Does anyone have any advice on eliminating the locking cap for just a traditional cap?
