Hey guys, my clutch on my 82 xs400 maxim recently began deteriorating and I am having trouble finding myself a new one. It’s the dohc, 5 speed and I’m fairly certain it is the j model. Does anyone know where to get the full clutch assembly?
I usually use one of the oem parts sites to find the factory part numbers, then search around for the best price and/or availability. Sites like https://www.yamahapartshouse.com/ have great diagrams to look up the parts. Also, i think the dohc started in 1982, but I'll defer to a more knowledgeable member if I'm wrong. Usually all you need are the fiber discs unless it did a lot of slipping then you may want the steel plates too.
