Hey guys, I am a new member. I recently just purchased a 1978 XS400. I am picking it up very soon. It is currently in pieces. LOL Which is ok by me. I plan on doing the Cafe Racer or Scrambler conversion. I look forward to learning from the community.

Welcome to the forum. If you have the time, it might be worth your while to put the bike together in stock form and get it running well before doing any mods. Having a good baseline before customization will make troubleshooting any starting, running and performance issues later much easier.
