I am up to rebuilding the wheel,
First I have discovered that car valve assemblies and motor cycle valve assemblies are different. The motorcycle one is 8mm the car one 11mm. So, I am in London next week I will try to track down a valve assembly and fit it.
After this I will have to reinstall the tyre on the actual wheel. Removing it was fairly easily but I know I will have to reseat the bead. When I have done this on car tyres I took it to a tyre shop, no such things exists around me for seemingly a hundred kilometers. So, I need to see if I can do this myself.
I see lots of youtube folk using flammable material to quickly inflate the wheel and reaseat the bead, does this idea actually work on motorcycle tyres? Any tips of tricks for using the method....
what flammable material did you use in the spray can as in the youtube video they always have their hands over the lable.
