Afternoon everyone, I’m planning on building a new harness for my XS, and I’m currently in the process of evaluating and pricing out different connectors.

I’ve taken a look at the deutsch connectors, priced em out on Digikey, but the cost of the pins is a killer. (There are Amazon kits, which are cheaper, but I’m sure 99% of what I find on Amazon is cheap Chinese crap, and isn’t worth the savings.) I’m also looking into Weather-Tek. Will probably research a bunch of other alternatives before I’m done.

So, what connectors do you all prefer to use? Any suggestions for cost effective solutions that aren’t gonna crap out too early? Any horror stories I can learn from?

Looking forward to hearing from ya!

Most of my factory plugs worked fine after 45 years so I stuck with those. I bought the Amazon Chinese connector kits (3.9mm bullet connector kit, 2.8mm connector kit and a 6.3mm connector kit) to fix the broken plugs and cut off bullet connectors and they have worked well as long as you properly crimp the connectors with the proper tool. It's my third riding season and the electrical system has been trouble free.
