What model/year is this? Help!

    Hey all, I'm new here. I recently got hold of this and I'm not sure I got the right information. I have been told its a 1979 XS400 (He said it was some limited/special model) but I'm not sure if he's full of it or not. I have had a look around on the internet but I cannot find something that completely matches. So I have decided to come to the professionals! I have the numbers 14x-001526 in the right hand side of the steering stem but cant match it up to anything

    Any help is muchly appreciated, thanks!

    It's not a xs400 that's for sure. Looks like a 82 yamaha XZ550RJ

    That is very definitely a Vision. Most likely a 1982.

    There is a Vision forum, but it's mostly dead. There is a FB group, and that's a little livelier.

    Vision/XZ is a fairly rare bike, only made two years, as far as I know.
