youre right, they would compete. im still digging the rectangle, add a a black border, with the top and two sides matching in width. the bottom however should be 2/3 rds wider with XS400 in it? eh i wish i had photoshop

Still working with the printing company to iron out the details. I was thinking 4.5" x 1.5" would be a good size. More sizes/options = more money per decal.

I'm planning on getting some made for XS650.com soon. I could do XS400.com at the same time. What do you think for the design? Just the main logo for the site?

Also, what member in the shop section? TheMainMuel?

Do you know what font is used in the logo? Or do you have the file as .psd, or .ai, in layers? by any chance, I have used Lightwave3D for about 15 years. I'd like to give it a crack, having the original file will save me a lot of time, otherwise I will have to build it from scratch using the main pic. from the website .jpg (time consuming) . . . . I can do some real cool shit with LW3D and Photoslop, I'm gonna build the "tuning fork" logo now, in case it can be incorporated.

Pawl, I'm going to go with the original logo for now to keep things simple. I won't be able to use the tuning forks since they are trademarked by yamaha.

Depending what you come up with, maybe we can do a second run of decals. I'll email you the psd with layers soon.

Sorry, I had this all lined up but never pulled the trigger. I was talking to a couple of the guys on here about doing it, but they only cut vinyl. I'll get back in touch with the original printer.

Seems like you're against using vinyl. Considering your logo is a simple 2 color design, it seems like a logical way to go.

Was there any reason why you don't want to do vinyl?

I didn't have the original file obviously, so I did a quick copy.

Sorry about not getting back to you. That looks pretty good. I'm not sure why I am bias toward digital printing. Maybe because all of the stickers on my workbench from different companies are done that way. Plus then they have a background so the mirror effect and gradient can be included and it can be put on any colored surface and still look good. That does look good on a window though!

I'll PM you regarding pricing. Maybe I can do both.

Thanks Travis for the psd. I built the logo in Lightwave3D, attached is an image I rendered, I think it would be too complex an image for stickers/decals, but it should give one an idea of what can easily be acheived (angles, thickness, lenses, surfaces etc.)

Thanks Trav. that's the only motivation i need.. . ! . attached is a couple other rendering/ponderings submitted for the group discussion . . . . . .hopefully to reach a skookum decal/sticker, All attached are @ 1/4 resolution from the .psd you sent me. I can render all the attached, (and any others) up to , and beyond I-Max resolution, for huge banners & HD video shit and all the way back down again .. to .. . . animated .gifs

Everyone, I've ordered some vinyl decals from Ebola Monkey. I'll still probably do printed decals later. I'll post more info in the next few days.
