    Sorry, seems I was missing something. Screw also acts as pin to hold housing in. Had to pull screw out completely to remove cable head.

    Trying to replace my tachometer cable on a 1980 model but it won't release from the mount at the engine. Loosened the phillips head, but can't get the thing to budge. Am I missing something?

    Hey Chris, I've got a 1980 xs400 and am looking for an instrument cluster of the tachometer and speedometer. Can't find any information as to compatibility. What do you think?
