When you get it running. Hold your fingers flat together and slowly slide your hand over the carb intake while revving the throttle.Try and find a position where the engine will rev. This will work on one carb at a time. If you can make it rev doing this then you are defineatly to lean.
These bikes were not designed to turn 10,000 rpm. Your going to run out of power around 8,000 rpm unless you change cams and port the head. And this will just sacrifice the bottom end power. Running open exhaust will also sacrifice power.

Possibly yes. If those carbs have adjustable needles, raise them all the way. If they aren't adjustable find a small spacer to put under them. Im using. A pair of o-rings.im a little rich but now I know it's a fuel issue.
