Oh wow! That cleans up like new...I went ahead and just ordered a couple earlier model ones. They sit just fine...now I’m having starter trouble. Always something. She rode around the block today though!
Yea my concern was if they would leak once I cleaned them. The one with the black gunk is real bad. That stuff is stuck to the brass and only comes off with a metal scrapper.
So, I got into the carbs on my ‘81 the other day and honestly the worst I’ve ever seen. Gonna be completely rebuilding them. I am having trouble locating floats for the ‘81. Will the ones from earlier models like 77-79 work? I uploaded some pics of what I got versus what I was looking at buying.
