Hey Dudes,
Currently I am trying to source some exhausts for my 1981 XS400 U.S. Custom and its turning out to be a right bastard! I am looking for 2 standard exhausts which I can cut up to the shape I am looking for (slanted exit approach) and remove baffles to get that loud...
Hey Dudes,
I was wandering how easy a job it is to fit some forward controls to my standard XS400 Frame. I'm bobbing my bike and i'm a fairly tall rider (6ft ish) and i want to mount some forward controls which i am looking at on Ebay...
Yeah, I love the look of them. Yeah eventually will get a V-Twin and bob it but for now (while my 33bhp restriction is in order) my XS will do for a budget bobber :). Yeah, I imagined the routing would be a task. I will have a word with a local exhaust specialist. I am not paying through the...
Sorry Lou, I was being a bit of an idiot there and forgot to elaborate. You are right a bates Style Solo seat is a solo seat (classic bobber style) but my plan was to weld some stiffeners towards the back end, tidy up the frame so it looks a bit tidier and then mount a small single pillion pad...
Hey Dudes,
I was wandering what wire wheels from other bikes can be used on an XS400? I am currently bobbing her and would like to use some classic looking wire wheels. Any suggestions or info would be greatly appreciated?
Thanks Again people. B-)
Oh I was on about 2up because your suggestion of the seat mounting and I don't want to take too add much more metal to the existing frame (if possible cut a little bit off in fact.).
Cheers Man. B-)
Cheers for opinions guys, it means a lot :). Haha nice one Lou, I'm 21 years old haha but my plan is to try and keep the bike 2up. This is my first proper bike so I would like the possibility to take a nice bird on the back B-). These Seca foot pegs you talk about, are they supplied from...
Thanks for the input dudes. Ive decided to go for the recumbent....... LOL! :L it's probably just myself being image conscious that's all. Plus it is half done ATM, once I put the seat on it will probably be better anyhow. How easy is it to create a slightly longer swing arm anyhow? B-)
Hey Dudes,
I was just wandering, I'm currently bobbing my XS400 (not hard tailing yet...) and I keep looking at photos of me on the bike in its current state and can't help but notice that I appear quite large for the bike (almost looks to me like a monkey bike lol). Admittedly...
If you go on google and type in, Bassani Sweepers. That's the kind of exhausts I want to achieve. Check them out. I know that those specific ones, are designed for a Harley V-Twin but I'm just wondering if it would be possible to create some for an XS. Any tips on creation.
Cheers

Hey Dudes,
Was just wandering if anyone on here has ever made/bought a set of sweeper style exhaust pipes for their XS400. Was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.
Cheers People!
