Need Some Help On Part Search. Looking for rear shock assembly for my 1982 Maxim xs400j DOHC. I'm running out of options, can this coil over shock be separated. ( coil removed from shock) Any help would be great, Thanks.

Nice toy, Welcome. There's nothing like giving some TLC to your favorite toys. It would be the same as anything else, test compression, clean carb's and filter, new oil and filter. Once you have that engine purring, the rest of it makes it much more enjoyable. Good luck, and keep us posted...

I'm not a pro but it sounds to me that it might be your voltage regulator. Yamaha call it a RECTIFIER ASSY/REGULATOR. If I may suggest going on Boats.net, look up the part number, and take a look on ebay.

I agree with Scorpio1963, I soak o-rings in brake fluid to swell and expand them. It might do the trick.

I agree with both of you, I think I would go off the grid if the batteries would have a much longer life span, and there price would be greatly lower. When I looked into batteries a few years ago, there life span was averaging 5 to 8 years. Now for me I would need 10 to 15 batteries. Not...

Why get off the grid when you can supply power back into the grid, and get payed for the power you supply. When I looked into purchasing the battery system, I realized that it was not worth the investment.
