From what I know the bike has only had one owner and never modified it he rode it once before winter locked it in his basement until he died that’s when I bought it at an estate sale. Also the bike has a small badge on the rear fender that says “certified Yamaha Danville
my bike is a 1978 xs400 but it has some odd quirks it came stock with front and back caliper brakes, wind shield and rear storage but the vin number says it is a base model and it has no special badging any ideas of what’s up with this?
Basically all the bolts on top of the cylinder head I’m not exactly sure of the sizes but the bike was sitting for 20 years so they all need replacements
So my 78 xs400 has a seized engine so I went to pull off the cylinder head to manually rotate the pistons but before I could get the engine apart almost all my bolts broke in half or completely stripped. The worst part is I have no idea where to get replacements. Anyone have suggestions?
