    Newbie working on my first bike, 79 xs400, and looking at the discs, they're grooved (and mildly rusty) so I'm going to have to do something about that.     Relay assembly

    Can anyone tell me what a relay assembly is and what it does? On one of the wiring diagrams I found it was referred to as the "headlight cutout relay" but according to http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/parts/home.aspx it is the "Relay assembly". much thanks in advance
