Also new member and I just picked up my 1981 XS400, it's been sitting in a friends garage for the past year. Purchased it over a year ago but had no place of my own to store her. I do now. And new rims would look great.

If that was my wife I wouldn't be posting messages. I'd be, lets say, a little busy.

Thanks for all the input, doing the fab work would work but I'd have to get someone to weld for me. No funds for a good welder. Post pic when you can, I have my eyes on a spare swingarm. :D

Sorry if this question has been asked before, I wasn't able to find to doing a search. What other stock swingarm can I install to gain a little length? Example on the cb450 in rebuilt I used a cb360 swingarm which was also 1" longer then the 450. Sorry to use a Honda as an example. Yamaha man...
