I'm leaning towards its in the safety circuit any idea which ones to jump? The PDF manual I have on it has a very vague wiring diagram, and doesn't go into detail about the safety circuit.

Update: It may be one of the safety circuits, They still don't quite make sense to me. I can get everything to work except turn signals, cranking and ignition.

I found the neutral switch and it's working as it should, The clutch switch is broken but I wired the ends together to see if that was the problem still won't crank. I tested the kickstand switch and it also is working as it should. It could be the solenoid but whenever it won't crank it cuts...

Thats what I figured too, but I can't find the neutral switch? I've traced the wires down and all I can see is the oil pressure switch, charging system and ignition points. Can anyone lead me in the direction of the neutral switch?

Hey guys I just bought a maxim 400 for cheap and plan to run it in a local scrapper race. The bike came with no front caliper but everything else is there. Is there any calipers from other models that will fit the 400 maxim? The XJ750 and XJ1100 calipers look identical to the maxim 400's.

Does anyone know what calipers can switch over to the maxim 400? the Maxim is completely missing it's caliper. My SR500 has the same caliper but I see a lot of xj750 calipers cheap on ebay can anyone confirm fitment?

Figured out the problem, I took all the coils apart they all tested out fine, Cut the wires back a bit and cleaned up all the contacts. I found the ground near the ignitor wasn't making good connection and starting getting bright blue spark! I plugged the coils in and it fired right up idled...

Haha Did this test exactly today. Is there another ground you were referring to before? This is the one I checked and cleaned I also did the jumper able trick and still had weak spark.

I trimmed them back a bit and they're resistance seems fine. I cleaned the fuse connections although the plastic bits that hold the fuse in place are cracked off I may get an external fuse holder or a replacement. I just want to hear the thing run to know if its worth investing more money into...
