My bike runs good at most rev ranges but when accelerating hard to a higher rpm it seems to lose fuel momentarily, then recover, then lose fule again. I thought maybe the float levels were too low and the bowl was emptying but they seem to be ok. I have open pipes and pod filters, so have changed to larger jets, both pilot and main. The needle position is one notch rich. Like I say, it starts, idles and pulls fine under most conditions.

Any suggestions?

What was your original main jet size and what did you upgrade to? You may just need a larger main. I would think for that setup you should be running a good 2 sizes up on the main jet. If you do go up even higher in the main you might need to drop that needle back down.

Oh, also, look at the plugs for giggles. Any noteworthy colors?

Oh, and by higher rpm do you mean near redline or? Is there any popping or backfiring? Does it feel more like stumbling or as though the engine falls on its face?
