help needed

hey everyone, as ive seen on here these xs400's have firing issues......same deal for mine...i got no spark ive checked all wiring, coils, points, plugs, boots etc. new battery and all fuses have been changed over. after i cleaned the points and reset them i got a very very weak spark on the 2nd cylinder(right side) but that only lasted a few cranks.....im at a loss for knowledge now, as far as i know the kid i bought it off of replaced everything electrical with all new parts. please help im sick of looking at it sitting here and would rather ride it then my ninja lol. thank you.

Ouch electrical issues are the worst...
Are you sure you've set the points correctly?

Download the manual. Make sure all the connections are correct and good. You did not say if the condenser is new, make sure you get a new one. Test the coils anyway even if the p.o. says they where new. If you points are new they should not need to be cleaned. Post a few picks of the bike so we can see what you have.
