Made a big mistake today connected the two connectors from the alternator together and the two connectors over the air filter together like shown in the picture.When i kicked a few times to check the spark it started to smoke from the front sprocket cover. I then saw my mistake and connected the connectors the right way and now the spark is gone it worked fine before.I cant find any burnt wiring or something around the alternator so i dont know where that smoke came from. I measured the resistance in the four wires from the alternator three of them show 0.9 and one 0.6 can this effect the spark? any guess what could be broken ? is ther a way to test the cdi/tci? fuses are ok. The bike is a xs400 se 82.
