    xs400 38mm or 39mm

Nice! just do not loose the fork caps, it is impossible to find a set of fork caps for 38mm forks. I was minutes from ordering a complete set of forks just because I could not find a set. I found some on a ducati website that look just like the ones i got as you can see in the photo above...

    xs400 38mm or 39mm

I looked at the fork caps for xs650's and they do not look anything like this. the gap between the threads and the is like .5" and the ones I have is just enough for a rubber washer. I had my suspicions that these forks may not belong on this bike since the wheels and the larger rotor would...

    xs400 38mm or 39mm

So I just got my xs and I was told that the forks are 38mm and since I was missing 1 fork cap, I have been looking all over for a fork cap or set. I finally found a place where they have a set and before I ordered I decided to take my micrometer out and measure it. I have a set of 35mm of my...

Is 120/90-18 rear tire to big?

Thanks for the photo. I think the reason they moved mine to the bottom is since the wheel is wide and there is no room with the Suzuki wheel by the axle for the stock caliper. I will give it a go in the morning with the Video that frwinks sent me and see if I can fix the tire rubbing issue...

Is 120/90-18 rear tire to big?

You can see the chain touching but there is 0 play in the chain on the top but on the bottom chain I can push it up 1 inch. Do the swing arm look like what belongs on this bike?

Is 120/90-18 rear tire to big?

let say my chain had some slack and that was not the issue, and I left the bracket welded to the swing arm. the wheel moving up and down is not an issue from what i can think of since the rotor, wheel and brakes would all be moving up and down together, but why would the rotor move back and...

Is 120/90-18 rear tire to big?

Yes, you are correct and that is why I have to add a few links if I want any slack. This whole back end is really scaring me. I will take the photo of the brake and swing arm when I get home after work and post it. I think adding a few links with correct alignment should do the job. Then I...

Is 120/90-18 rear tire to big?

I also am not sure what the swing arm is from. My brakes are welded below the swing arm and do not have the tabs on top like the original swing arms and that is why there is no slack in the chain. I may have to add a few links since there is not much room to move the tire back before it hits...

    kick start wiring diagram?

So I was looking at the wiring diagrams here and on google, but they all have the ignition on them. I am very new to this wiring thing and people are asking for 200 to rewire my bike. So I am looking for a simple wiring diagram. Head light Tailight/brake light Ignition. Can you guys tell me...

What is the smallest battery I can use?

Yes, I do have to kick start it and I am rewiring it to just the basics. Running Headlight, tail/brake light. So I am guessing that battery will work fine? or should I get at least a 8amp?
