agreed. and by "cleaned carbs" do you mean completely broke them apart, soaked / boiled, replaced throttle shaft seals? or just a basic "took the bowls off and sprayed carb cleaner around"?

yea, rebuilt the stock on my xj, but still put an inline "off/on" Don't have that kind of room to play with on the XS. So Mikes XS? I've looked on there before. That the consensus on where to go for most parts?

Hi there, New here, but not to bikes. Active member on xjbikes and have rebuilt an xj 650 seca from the ground up. Picked up an xs400 for the wife and am going through that now. Have the carbs completely apart except of course for the throttle plates, wanting to replace the throttle shaft...
