I say it will not work. You need battery for ignition. Even if you try to kickstart it, there is no voltage for field coil to make magnetic field for alternator to make voltage. Battery is also needed for filtering voltage peaks. Why you don't want a battery there?

Yes, there are two different cams. I can measure it for you when I get to my garage. If you have "F" cams you need to get another without "F". I and E is just Intake and Exhaust

Your thinking is right... but they made a mistake in the manual. I thought the same but then I found out that everything marked with F (cams, ignition 12F-10, carburetor joints) is from restricted model. Look on ebay. You will find restricted ignition 12F-10 TID12-08 (blue) in germany and...

And if you take out the ignition cover, on the blue, restrictet unit, you will find resistor on the circuit side. On the red, 45HP unit, there is no resistor... I didn't disassemble it more but it may be the only difference

Restricted cams are marked "F" And 45HP cams has 2mm higher lift (left 45HP, right 33HP)
