well i finally have spark in my xs400 after all the work i did i toor it all apart and started fresh on the wiring harness and made a real simplified diagram with no relays head lights or turn flashes none of that stuff. it turned out to be the kill switch but at least there is only a few wires...

looked at the information i found and blue/black and red yellow are for safety relay

just seeing if theres a diagram out there, that i can get rid of the kick stand switch, heads lights ... well all the lights. just need basics spark, on/off switch aand push button if. thanks for reading

okay so i did that and still nothing? im wondering if the pick up coil is working, the round peice that goes by them is it suppose to touch those metal peices ir just go by them?

i have one spark plug in and multimeter on the other on and cranking it over but theres nothing there, i was talking to a motorcycle mechanic and he said i shouldnt have power in my sparkplug lines all the time ? which i do. im new to the wiring thing so its hard for me to explain everything in...

oh and when im cranking it over i have the multimeter hooked up to the spark plug ends and it goes from 12 to 9?

so im still working on my project with the seca 400 1982 twin, i got 11 volts going to the end of my spark plug, and the same going to the igniter so clearly theres power going through right? but why isnt there any spark? :confused:

i would like to have a another wire harness so i can use the one i have for parts ?

so that be on the brown and red wires? my fuse box is gone for some reason when i got it

its a four wheeler lol, but my problem is with the seca 400 wiring i got no spark and no key so im thinking i have to bypass the key some how?
