well i finally have spark in my xs400 after all the work i did i toor it all apart and started fresh on the wiring harness and made a real simplified diagram with no relays head lights or turn flashes none of that stuff. it turned out to be the kill switch but at least there is only a few wires...

okay so i did that and still nothing? im wondering if the pick up coil is working, the round peice that goes by them is it suppose to touch those metal peices ir just go by them?
i have one spark plug in and multimeter on the other on and cranking it over but theres nothing there, i was talking to a motorcycle mechanic and he said i shouldnt have power in my sparkplug lines all the time ? which i do. im new to the wiring thing so its hard for me to explain everything in...
so im still working on my project with the seca 400 1982 twin, i got 11 volts going to the end of my spark plug, and the same going to the igniter so clearly theres power going through right? but why isnt there any spark? :confused:
