hello folks. its been a while since i posted. but onto another step of my project. the clutch cable on the bike was snapped when i got it. so i bought a new oem cable and attempted to re run it. but i have no idea how it was run when i took it off. i ran it several different ways with no luck...
sorry it been so long but thanks for all the replys. im still not sure what the wire is but im not going to worry about it until i figure out how to re reun the clutch cable. thanks. onto the creation of a new thread...
and thank you for the info if it is the clutch switch. if it is i hope i can find a replacement as this is my first bike aside from a dirtbike and id rather not risk starting it in gear.
the first pic is of the cut wires that were dangling near the handle bars. and the green connector in the second pic is where it was attached. it was inside the headlight assembly.the wires change to black/yellow and blue/yellow as shown.
i looked into that after reading your post. the wires to that are perfect....well dirty as hell but theyre good. after searching the forum i found a diagram for a xs400H/SH that shows those two specific wires meeting up at something called the clutch switch. but more than that im ignorant.
